This is an overview of each setting in the 'Settings' option (gear icon) within the OrderUp app.
Manage Credit Card Batch | This setting will allow capture transactions and adjust gratuity |
Sync with SalesVu.com | This will automatically synchronize data between POS and Web Portal |
Launch SalesVu.com | This will direct you to Web Portal account |
Reconnect Socket Connection |
This setting allows you to manually re-establish a connection with the server in case of synchronization issues. When a connection problem occurs, the 'Disconnected' text with a Wi-Fi image is displayed in the top left corner of the home screen. By tapping the 'Reconnect Socket Connection' button, you can restore the connection, and the text will change to 'Connected.' This feature ensures uninterrupted server connectivity. |
Printer Options | This setting is to connect with printers and configure other printing options |
Scale Option | This setting will allow configuring scale |
Manage Barcode Scanner | This provides with indication to connect with Barcode Scanner |
Returns & Exchange | Touch this option if you want to process a refund & exchange, and it will launch you the web portal where you can process these action |
Exit Admin Mode | Touch this option to get to the customer order view |
Enable/Disable Products | Touch this option to enable or disable products from displaying on the app |
New Order After Placed | With this setting enabled, a new order will start immediately after a customer places their order |
Screensaver | Touch this option to upload and enable a custom screensaver image on the iPad to show while iPad is idle |
More Settings | Touch this option to access more advanced settings |
Switch Location | This setting will allow you to switch the device across locations |
About SalesVu | The button will display the device and account information |
Show Tax Names |
With this setting enabled the full tax name will appear on printed receipts |
Show Camera Scanner | This setting will enable the camera scanner which can scan barcodes |
Ask Permission On Start Over | When this setting is enabled, if a customer selects 'Start Over' during their order, they will encounter a pop-up message instructing them to 'Please contact staff to help you start over your order.' An employee's authorization, confirmed with their PIN, will be required to proceed with this action. |
Hide Help Icons |
When this option is enabled, you won't see the 'i' (help icons) that provide details on OrderUp features (note that this applies exclusively to the admin mode) |
Show Additional Charge Names | With this setting enabled additional charge names will appear on printed receipts |
Show Product Color With Image | With this setting, the color assigned to this product will appear in the background of the image |
Print Modifiers In Red | With this setting enabled, modifiers will be printed in red on kitchen receipts |
Large Font on Kitchen Receipt | This setting allows increasing the font of items printed on kitchen receipts |
Allow Split By Product | With this setting enabled, customers will be able to split their payment by product |
Show Number Of Guests | This setting will enable 'Number of Guests' field before starting an order |
Allow Coupon Codes | With this setting enabled, your customers will be able to enter a coupon code on the checkout screen |
Open New Order Automatically | With this setting enabled, the app will initiate a new order automatically if the current order has remained untouched for the specified number of minutes." |
Do Not Delete Order On Start Over | With this setting enabled, customers will not be able to delete an order by touching 'Start Over' and it will only be deleted with an employee's authorization |
Force Category Selection | With this setting enabled, customers will have to select a category to view the products and add them to order |
Delete Orders Older Than | By selecting the number of days, orders older than this specified duration will be removed from the app. However, you can always access these older orders on salesvu.com |
Kitchen Receipt Format | You can choose one of three formats:

Latest Item On | This setting will put the latest item either on top or at the bottom on the printed receipt |
Set Font Size | This will allow increasing or decreasing the font size of items in the order |
Hide Help Button | This setting will hide the 'help' icon on the customer view |
Hide Pay/Checkout Button | Enable this option if you want your customers to process the payment with one of your staff instead of using the app |
Hide Place Order Button | With this setting enabled, customers will not be able to send orders to kitchen before paying |
Hide Start Your Order | This will hide the 'Start Your Order' button before a customers starts an order |
Do Not Ask For Payment | This will allow your customers to place orders without taking them to the payment screen |
Complete Screen Main Heading | This will allow you to enter your custom message on the Complete Payment Screen |
Change Background and Text Color for Header and Footer in New View | This setting will enable you to customize the colors of the header and footer elements to suit your preferences |
