Event mode is a new sales channel that will help you sell directly to customers during specific events via POS. You will have the opportunity to generate profit, earn new customers, or associate your brand with a cause or an organization during conferences, pop-up shows, fairs, or similar shows. After the event, you will be able to run reports that will show you specifically sold items during the event. You will also be able to see reports under the inventory for the event.
Hosted Event Mode: In this event mode, you will give away products to your customers for free. Inventory will be calculated after the event so the host can see how much it needs to be paid after the hosted event. As an example, you can offer a free drink or other beverages at a business celebration party.
Requirements of Hosted Event Mode:
1. Please make sure to subscribe with SalesVu Premium Bundle.

3. You must have valid time slots, and While creating time slots, "Event Type" must be selected as "Hosted Event " Please follow the link to how to add time slots: How to Create Time Slots
Hosted Event Mode
1. Click on Inventory from the left-hand menu
2. Click on "Event Inventory" from the top
3. Click on the drop-down menu next to the event name and Select "Set Inventory"
4. Enter Start Quantity
Important Note: Enter the remaining quantity once the hosted event is completed. The used quantity will be calculated automatically.
5. Click on Save All and Confirm it by clicking on "Yes"
6. Click on "OK," and You are all set!
Important Note: Hosted Events do not show up under the Event Mode on SalesVu POS. This is because there is no need to track sales.
Important Notes: Before Closing Hosted Event, You must enter the used quantity once the hosted event is completed. The system will not calculate the used quantity automatically. The remaining quantity will be calculated automatically. The system allows entering the note for the used quantity.
Closing Hosted Event Mode
Once the event is done. Please follow these steps to close the event:
1.Login to SalesVu.com
2. Click on Inventory from the left-hand menu
3. Click on Event Inventory from the top
4. Click on the drop-down menu next to the event name and Select "Set Inventory"
5. Click on "Close Event" at the right top and Confirm it
6. Select Payment Option
Important Note: Hosted Event Mode payment options are to pay by cash or send the invoice and pay by credit card.
7. Enter the host e-mail and Click on "Continue"
8. Click on "OK" and You are all set!
Important Notes: When the payment is made for the hosted event mode to the sent invoice, the payment will be displayed as one order under the "Orders" section.
