Link 2500 has two modes. Bluetooth and WiFi. Please follow the steps below to set up one of the options
WiFi Mode:
- On the pin-pad press 2634. A menu will display showing your WiFi status & battery status. The WiFi indicator will be white, indicating the Link/2500 pin-pad is not connected to WiFi. Press the F key above the red X
- Select Tetra Admin > press 'Green' key
- 'Admin Menu' will load. Select 'Configure WiFi' option
- Select 2-Scan Networks
- Select 1-Enable. Once enabled, the field will display 1-Disable suggesting that Wi-Fi has been enabled. If 1-Disable is selected again, the Wi-Fi functionality will be disabled.
- Select your wireless network and enter the password *use the numbers on the keypad to input the WiFi password, use the # key to input symbols, use the yellow key to backspace/delete*
- The device will confirm to connect, click the green button on the pin-pad to confirm *the WiFi status will remain white if you have entered the wrong password. If the status remains white after 30 seconds you will need to press 3-My Networks then Delete All and try connecting again with the correct password*
- Press the red X 4-5 times to return to the home screen
- Open the SalesVu POS app on your iPad
- Touch on the ‘gear’ icon -> ‘More Settings’
- Enter the IP address that is displayed on your Link 2500 device into “Terminal IP”.Note: each terminal will have a different IP address assigned. To locate the IP address, press and hold yellow and '#' keys at the same time. The card reader will restart and will go through multiple screens. On the 'Retail Base' screen press 'F3' to scroll down to the bottom of the screen to see the IP address. The screen will go away quickly. If you missed the IP, please repeat the process by restarting the card reader
- Touch on the ‘gear’ icon > Select 'Card Readers' > Select 'Link 2500'
- SalesVu Logo will appear on the card reader's screen in a few seconds and it will be ready for payment processing
- Force close and reopen the app if the app doesn't show SalesVu logo after 5 minutes. - Touch home button twice quickly and swipe SalesVu POS app upwards, then reopen it

Bluetooth Mode:
Just to make sure your Bluetooth mode on your card reader, please follow these steps:
1. Grab your Link 2500 Bluetooth card reader and Enter 0001 on the pin-pad
2. Select "Communication Type" via Tapping on the green button
3. Select Bluetooth_PCL and tap on the green button
4. Tap on Yellow Button
5. Select "Yes" via tapping on the green button
6. You are all set!
Then Please follow the steps below:
- Turn on Bluetooth connection from Settings > Bluetooth on your iPad.
- On the pin-pad, press 2634. Press the F key above the red X
- Select Tetra Admin > press 'Green' key
- 'Admin Menu' will load. Select 'Configure Bluetooth' option. If Wi-Fi is connected, it will need to be disabled prior to configuring the Bluetooth connectivity. Steps on how to disable/enable Wi-Fi can be found under step 5 for WiFi mode set up above.
- Select Switch on.
- Select Phone pairing. Click the green button to confirm your selection.
- On the Link/2500 screen, it will say, "Your device (link2) is currently visible to nearby devices." You should see link2 as an available device on your iPad. Select link2.
- On the Link/2500 screen, it will say, "Check the passkey on the mobile is: XXXXXX. Press OK to validate." Click the green button to validate. It will then connect the Link/2500 to your iPad.
- Open the SalesVu POS app on your iPad
- Touch on the ‘gear’ icon > Select 'Card Readers' > Select 'Link 2500'
- SalesVu Logo will appear on the card reader's screen in a few seconds and it will be ready for payment processing
- Force close and reopen the app if the app doesn't show SalesVu logo after 5 minutes. - Touch home button twice quickly and swipe SalesVu POS app upwards, then reopen it
