Swiper unresponsive
If the iDynamo 5 swiper is not recognizing any swipes then there are several things to verify.
- Try to unplug the card reader from the iPad and re-plug it back in.
- Remove all active apps from the background of the iPad:
Double-tap on the 'home button' of your iPap (all apps will become smaller)
Place your finger in the middle of the app and swipe up (remove all apps)
Re-open the SalesVu app and try again - Make sure that the iDynamo 5 reader is selected within the SalesVu app (in the app touch settings (gear) then touch change next to Card Reader to make sure the iDynamo 5 is selected)
- The iDynamo 5 reader comes with several different attachments and the attachment may be faulty so remove the attachment (squeeze the balls on the side and pull). Plug the card reader directly into your iPad (without any attachment) and try again
- Clean the bottom of your iPad's lightning port with air or a light brush.
- It’s quite possible that the charging port of the iPad is having issues. If possible, please try using the swiper on another device and verify if the issue continues.
- Try restarting your iPad once by powering it off and on
Decryption Service Unavailable
1. The credit card reader is dirty or dusty. We recommend using a thin paper cloth and thoroughly cleaning the inside of the swiper and trying again.
2. The reader was purchased from an outside vendor and is not compatible with Vantiv / WorldPay. Readers will need to come directly from Worldpay. If you purchased it from a third party, please return the reader and order a new one from Worldpay by contacting them at 800-846-4472
If the reader was working before and cleaning did not resolve the issue then most likely there is a hardware failure that requires a replacement. Please contact Worldpay to get it replaced at 800-846-4472
