Troubleshooting Square Stand Issues
If you encounter issues while using your Square Stand, follow the steps below to resolve common problems.
Basic Troubleshooting

Reconnect the iPad

Gently remove the iPad from the Square Stand, then reattach it securely.

Restart the iPad

Standard Restart:

Press and hold the Top button (or Volume button on some models) until the power slider appears.

Drag the slider to turn off the device.

Wait 30 seconds, then press the Top button again to restart.

Force Restart (if frozen/unresponsive):

iPad with Home button: Press and hold the Home + Top buttons until the Apple logo appears.

iPad without Home button: Quickly press and release the Volume Up > Volume Down > then press and hold the Top button until the Apple logo appears.

Verify App Permissions

Open iPad Settings > Search for the SalesVu app (or Square app, if applicable).

Ensure all permissions (Camera, Microphone, Notifications, etc.) are Allowed.

Check Connections & Power

Power Supply

Ensure the Square Stand’s power adapter is firmly plugged into a grounded AC outlet.

Test the outlet with another device to confirm it’s working.

Secure Hardware Connections

Confirm the Square Stand is firmly connected to the USB hub (if used).

Check that the USB hub is securely plugged into the Square Stand.

Inspect Ports & Cables

Ensure the iPad is fully inserted into the Stand.

Check the iPad’s charging port and Stand’s connector for debris. Gently clean with a dry, soft brush if needed.

Test Power Indicators

Confirm the Square Stand’s payment LEDs light up when powered on.
