This article will first guide you through creating the discount on the web portal, then show how it works on the POS.
A non-time-based discount applies to a limited or unlimited amount of products, starts immediately, and has no end date. For example, a non-time-based discount can be applied to eligible items on the app anytime a customer places an order.
Step 1: Create a Non-Time-Based Discount on the Web Portal
1. Log in to Salesvu.com
2. Click on "Discounts" from the left-hand menu
3. Click either the "Plus" icon on the upper left or click on "Add Discount" on the top right
4. Fill in the information: discount name, discount type (must be Non-Time Based), discount value
5. Click "Continue"
6. Add the products or category to be attached to that discount
7. Click on "Save"
8. You are all set!
Important Note: Once you create the Non-time based discount, please sync your SalesVu App.

Step 2: Apply the Discount on the POS
Follow the steps below to apply the discount on the POS after creating it.
1. Open SalesVu App and add products to the order
2. Expand the "Discounts" button on top and select one of the Non-Time Based Discounts. The system will automatically apply a discount to the order. You can review the illustrations below:
