In SalesVu, you can manage and track your inventory budgets by setting category-specific budgets and monitoring their utilization during the Purchase Order (PO) creation process.
Steps to Set Category Budget:
- Go to SalesVu.com
- Navigate to Inventory > 'Purchase Orders'
- Click on the dropdown arrow on the right and select 'Set Category Budget.'
- On the pop-up screen, use the dropdown menu to select the desired budget period (Monthly or Quarterly)
- Scroll through the list of categories or use the "Search Category" bar at the top if you need to find a specific category quickly.
- Enter or update the budget amounts in each category's 'BUDGET ($)' field.
- Once all budget adjustments are made, click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the window to apply the changes.
Now, while creating a Purchase Order (PO), the remaining budget percentages for each category are displayed at the top of the "Select Products" screen.
Also, while creating a PO, the 'Selected Products' window allows you to review and confirm product details and ensure that budget utilization for each category is within the allocated limits before proceeding with a PO.
Also, on the main PO view, you can monitor overall budget utilization and click 'View Breakdown' for detailed information.
