The Merge Modifiers feature in SalesVu allows you to manage inventory variants without cluttering your product listings under "Products & Services." When you add a modifier group to a product and select "Merge," it creates variants for inventory management only, keeping the main product as a single listing.
Example:
- Main Product: Shirt
- Variants (for inventory only): Shirt-Small, Shirt-Large, etc.
By selecting "Merge," these variants will be created for inventory tracking, but the main product ("Shirt") will remain the only listing under "Products & Services."
Note: The merged variants, such as Shirt-Small and Shirt-Large, will only appear under the Inventory tab on the SalesVu portal. This ensures that while you can track inventory for each variant, only the main product is displayed in the Products & Services section.
Steps to Use Merge Modifiers:
- Log into your SalesVu account at salesvu.com
- Go to Products & Services
- Add or select a product.
- Under the "Select Modifier Groups" tab, please select a Modifier Group (e.g., sizes or add-ons). If you don't have a modifier group created yet, please find the steps on how to create it here
- Check the Merge box at the bottom of the modifier group selection window.
- Click Select to apply the modifier group to a product.
Note: This feature is particularly beneficial for retail businesses looking to manage inventory for product variations (sizes, colors, etc.) without listing each variant separately under "Products & Services."
