When scanning a barcode on the home screen of the SalesVu POS, the customer name associated with the barcode will be automatically attached to your current order.
Before scanning a customer card, please ensure you have followed these steps:
1. This feature requires creating a pysical customer card with a special format pre-fix (SVCC). You can find the steps on how to create such cards in our guide here Physical Customer Card Format with SalesVu
2. In order to scan a customer's card, you need to enter a card number into the customer's profile. To do this, follow these steps:
- Log into SalesVu.com
- Click on the 'Customers' tab in the left vertical menu
- Locate the customer's account and click on the drop-down arrow at the top right, then select 'View/Edit'
In the 'Barcode' field, enter the customer card number without the 'SVCC' code. For example, if the card you created has the format SVCC123456789, please enter only the numbers (e.g., 123456789).
By following these steps, you will be able to scan customer cards and have the associated customer name automatically linked to your orders in the SalesVu POS system.
To scan a customer's card on the POS app, follow these steps:
1. Open the SalesVu POS and Touch on the settings (gear) icon
2. Touch on 'More Settings'
3. Enable 'Auto Apply Customers'
4. You are all set!
Now you can use your barcode scanner to scan a customer's card barcode and they will be added to the order.
