The cross-device sync feature allows POS devices to communicate with each other and display the same orders, making it easier to close out orders from any device. But as a precaution, we don't recommend editing the same order from two different iPads at the same time as this can create data overwrite issues. To prevent it, SalesVu has a setting that locks an order if it is opened from another device. If the current user opens an order and it is 'locked', then they cannot make any changes as the same order is still open on another device. To edit the order, the user needs to tap on the 'lock' icon and tap on 'Force Unlock'. Here's how you can enable this setting:
1. Log in to SalesVu.com
2. Click on the 'v' drop-down next to your name
3. Click on 'Location Settings'
4. Click on 'General Settings'
5. Enable the following setting: 'Require employee to unlock before editing the order if opened from another device (cross device sync)'
