How to Add Seat Numbers When Creating an Order and Assign Items to Seats

Overview:
In SalesVu, you can enter the number of guests, assign seat numbers, and add items to specific seats for better order management.

Enabling Seat Number Settings in the POS App:

1. Go to salesvu.com > Location Settings > General Settings > POS Settings
2. Enable the Advanced Seat Management option

Assigning Items to Seats:

1. Open the POS app and start a new order
2. Enter the number of guests—seat numbers will be created automatically (e.g., Seat 1, Seat 2, Seat 3)
3. Select a seat number and add items to it. Repeat for other seats
4. The order screen will display which items are assigned to each seat

When you print the order receipt, the seat number will be displayed next to each item's name

Sorting items by Seat

You can choose how items are displayed on the POS screen by seat. To do this, go to the gear icon (Settings) > More Settings, scroll down, and select the Sort Order Items option > By Seat
