At SalesVu, you can cancel an appointment and process a refund for the order with a service.
Note: to refund a service, it needs to be manually canceled first and then refunded. If an appointment is not canceled before being refunded, it will create an error with the time slot, and you will not be able to book this time slot until it's canceled correctly.
If an appointment has been refunded before being canceled, please find the steps to correct it at the end of the article.
To cancel an appointment:
1. Sign into SalesVu.com
2. On the left vertical menu, click on the 'Appointments' tab
3. The calendar view will be displayed by default
4. Click on a booked appointment
5. Click on the 'Cancel Reservation' button
Note: The appointment will be removed from the calendar, and the customer will receive an email notification.
To refund an appointment:
1. Please follow the steps above to cancel an appointment first on the Appointment Calendar
2. Once an appointment is canceled and disappeared from the calendar, click on the 'Orders' tab on the left vertical menu
3. Locate the order: this canceled appointment will show up as a 'deleted' order, so you would need to filter orders with the 'Deleted' status under the 'Advanced Options'. Please find more detailed information on how to search for deleted orders here
4. Click on the 'Refund' button at the bottom of the orders report
5. Process a refund. Please find more detailed information on how to refund orders from the web portal here
If an appointment has been refunded before being canceled, please find the steps to correct it at the end of the article:
1. On the left vertical menu, click on the 'Orders' tab
2. Locate the order: this order will show up as a 'refunded' order, so you would need to filter orders with the 'Refunded' status under the 'Advanced Options'.
3. Click on the 'Reinstate' button on the 'Orders' report. Once the order is reinstated, the appointment will appear on the Appointment Calendar again.
4. Now click on the 'Appointments' tab on the left vertical menu
3. The calendar view will be displayed by default
4. Click on a booked appointment
5. Click on the 'Cancel Reservation' button
6. After canceling it, you can go back to the 'Orders' tab and delete the previously reinstated order.
