In SalesVu, you can enable resource-based scheduling to allow customers to book specific available resources—such as treatment rooms, tennis courts, photo studios, or rental equipment—directly through the scheduler at salesvu.com and your online booking page.
Note: This feature is only available for online bookings and bookings made at salesvu.com. It's not available for POS, Welcome and Onthelist apps.
Follow the steps below to enable this setting:
-
Log in to your SalesVu portal and navigate to the Appointments module > Settings
- Enable the toggle for “Assign Availability Time Slots for Resources (Type 2)”
- Now, go to the Layout tab and click on Manage Availability to set specific time slots for each resource.
- Click on Configure Availability next to your resource name
- Select the days and times your resource will be available for booking, then save your changes.
To book by resource on the Appointment Calendar, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Appointment Calendar and click on Book Appointment
- In the Appointment Information section, select "Resource" from the dropdown menu and click on Continue to finalize the booking.
- When you return to the Appointment Calendar, the booking will display the resource name. You can also click on “Reschedule” to change the resource or appointment time.
- On the next pop-up windows, select the resource and time and you will see the availability for that resource. After selecting it, save the changes.
To book by resource on your online booking page, follow these steps:
Under Select Availability on your booking page, you will see the resource name along with its available time slots.
Choose the desired resource and time, then proceed to checkout.
Your customer will receive an email confirmation and an SMS that includes the resource name and the link to confirm or cancel the booking.
1) Note: you will see the resource name when you run the Orders report at SalesVu.com, as per the example below:
2) Note: The system automatically blocks overlapping bookings by removing time slots for a resource if it is already booked for another appointment type, preventing double bookings.
