Electronic gift cards can be sold in two ways
A. Manually a custom amount: please follow these steps to manually sell a custom amount gift card to a customer from the POS
- Open the POS app
- Tap on the customer icon at the top right corner
- Tap on select next to the name of the customer
- Tap on the barcode icon under the category section
- Tap on Enter Gift Card Number and enter the number
- Tap on done
- Tap on Add funds from the pop-up message
- Enter the gift card Amount
- Save (This will add the gift card to the order of the customer)
- Touch on Pay
- Select which Payment Method to use
- Touch on Email to send gift card receipt with gift card Number, Amount balance, and Barcode

B. Select a gift card products that you created manually at the back-end portal
Please remember that for this option, you must first create a Gift Card as a Product in the SalesVu Portal so it appears in the POS; also, you must have the customer’s information already in your system.
To sell an electronic gift card to customers on the POS, please follow the following instructions:
- Open the POS app
- Tap on the customer’s icon
- Tap on the customer’s name to open an order for the customer
- Touch on the Gift card category
- Select the gift card Amount the customer wants to purchase to add to the order.
- Enter the gift card number. (The gift card number will be attached to the order)
- Tap on Done
- A gift Card will be added to the customer’s order
- Tap on Pay
- Tap on the payment method used by the customer
- Tap Email to send a receipt with a gift card number, balance amount, and a barcode number.
