SalesVu offers the option to issue returns and exchanges for store credit in the form of loyalty points, gift cards, or cash. Here's how each method works:
-
Loyalty Points Refund: To issue a refund in the form of loyalty points, the app will prompt you to enter the customer's name and phone number. The customer can then redeem these loyalty points during their next visit.
-
Gift Card Refund: If you choose to provide store credit in the form of a gift card, you can either scan the customer's physical gift card or manually enter its number. The refund amount will be added to the gift card balance, which the customer can use for future purchases.
Processing a refund:
1. Touch on the return/exchange icon
2. There are search filters available that will allow you to locate the original transaction to issue an exchange or return in-store credit. Once you locate the order, touch on it to select it.
3. Touch on the return icon next to the item you want to return/exchange
4. To issue the store credit in the form of loyalty points or gift card or cash, touch the 'Return' button at the bottom of the screen view.
5. Select the 'Cash', 'Loyalty' or 'Gift Card' option
6. Tap on 'Done,' and you are all set!
Processing an exchange for another item:
1. Touch on the return/exchange icon
2. There are search filters available that will allow you to locate the original transaction to issue an exchange or return in-store credit. Once you locate the order, touch on it to select it.
3. Touch on the return icon next to the item you want to return/exchange
4. Now, select another item icon from your product list on the right for which you want to exchange your original item.
There are three possible scenarios for an exchange:
Example 1: let's say, in the original sale, we sold Coke, and now we touch the Sprite icon, which will be added to the order details. In this example, both Coke and Sprite have the same price, resulting in a total price of $0.00.
To close such an order, simply tap on the 'Close' button located at the bottom of the order details.
Example 2: if the selected item is more expensive than the original sale, the app will provide the option to 'Pay'. This allows the customer to pay the difference between the original price and the higher-priced item.
Example 3: conversely, if the selected item is cheaper than the original sale, the app will offer various options for issuing store credit. You can choose between 'Cash', 'Loyalty', or 'Gift Card' to provide the store credit in the preferred form.
For example, let's say initially we sold Sprite for $2.50 and now we added Mojito for $10.00. The system will show you the Order Total and you can touch the 'Return' button and select the form of the store credit.
5. Now select the preferred form of in-store credit or cash
6. Tap on 'Done,' and you are all set!
