SalesVu provides a feature that allows businesses to limit the number of specific items sold per day through the POS system. This is particularly useful for managing inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and preventing overselling of popular items. Follow the comprehensive step-by-step guide below to enable this setting.
Step 1: Log in to SalesVu.com
- Open your web browser and navigate to SalesVu.com.
- Enter your credentials and click Login to access your SalesVu account.
Step 2: Access Location Settings
- Once logged in, look for the arrow down icon next to your name at the top left corner of the page.
- Click on this icon to open a dropdown menu.
Step 3: Navigate to Location Settings
- From the dropdown menu, select 'Location Settings'. This will take you to the settings page where you can manage various configurations for your locations.
Step 4: Open Product Sales Quota Settings
- At the top right corner of the Location Settings page, you will see another arrow down icon. Click on it to access more options.
- Scroll down the options and click on 'Product Sales Quota'. This section allows you to set sales limits for your products.
Step 5: Enable Product Quota
- In the Product Sales Quota section, look for the button labeled 'Enable Product Quota' at the top right.
- Click on this button to activate the product sales quota feature.
Step 6: Set Daily Limits for Each Product
- After enabling the product quota, you will see input fields next to each product listed.
- Enter the desired limit (number of items) for each product in the respective fields. This number represents how many units of that product can be sold in one day.
Step 7: Save Your Changes
- Once you have entered the limits for all relevant products, look for the 'Save' button at the top right corner.
- Click on 'Save' to apply your settings.
Alert Mechanism
Now that the product sales quota has been set, the SalesVu POS system will monitor the sales of these products throughout the day. When the set limit for a product is reached, you will receive an alert message stating, 'You have reached your daily threshold limit.'
- At this point, the system will prevent any further sales of that product until the next day, ensuring that you do not oversell and helping you manage your inventory effectively.
