Check the connection status, or
Tap to reconnect.

Then charge it back up fully.
The error message should no longer appear.
Charging
My reader is in the dock, but it’s not charging
Confirm the dock is properly connected:
The cable is firmly connected under the dock, and
The other end is firmly plugged into a USB power adapter (wall outlet).
Dirt can prevent charging. Gently clean the 5 small golden contact circles on the reader and/or dock using:
A soft brush or cloth + a bit of alcohol
Do not use anything metallic (to avoid damage).
Check the indicator light near the charging port:
Red = charging
Green = fully charged
My reader is connected via a USB cable but it’s not charging
Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to:
The reader, and
A USB power adapter or computer USB port
The indicator light near the charging port shows:
Red = charging
Green = fully charged
You can also try:
A different USB cable (charge for at least 2 hours)
A different wall outlet
My reader turns off after a few minutes when running on battery
That’s normal. The reader enters sleep mode to save battery. It will wake when you take a payment, or you can wake it by pressing the Power button (and in some cases from the app).
Taking Payments
My reader is on but I’m having problems taking a payment
Confirm the reader is connected in SalesVu POS:
Settings → Card Readers
If you don’t see it, reconnect the reader.
Make sure your SalesVu POS app is up to date.
My reader isn’t reading cards
Ensure the reader is paired correctly.
Try more than one card (to rule out a card-specific issue).
Inspect for physical issues:
Debris/blockages in the reader
Dirt/scratches on the customer’s card
